About Get-Sailing.com
Get-Sailing.com online travel agency that specialises in finding yachts/boats for our customers anywhere in the world. We already have a live availability database of 4000 boats for charter, from the Mediterranean to South East Asia – to search simply type a destination and dates into the search engine in our header, and then later you can filter by size and price to find a boat. And if you can’t find the right option for you via our search engine, then just use our enquiry form to let us know your requirements and we’ll search for you manually via our vast “on-request” database. Looking for another form of sailing holiday, such as a sailing course, day trip/cruise or flotilla holiday? Email us and we’ll get back as soon as possible.
Our Mission
Our mission is to encourage as many people as possible to enjoy sailing holidays in great destinations around the world. In order to do that we aim to:
- create the largest online database of boats around the world. We’ve got 4000+ so far and growing!
- create a userfriendly search experience. If you can’t find what you’re looking for via our search engine (we have created these search tips to help!), then you can fill out our simple enquiry form instead.
- provide useful travel info on the best sailing destinations.
- for first time sailors we also provide lots of help and advice on how to book a sailing holiday.
- to make sailing more affordable for all. With 4000 boats on our system you can compare prices and get last minute deals!
- to provide fantastic customer support. We are always online and will answer all emails within 36 hours. (You can also ring us between 10am and 8pm on +34 627 780 896).
Our Team
Duncan – Managing Director
Duncan first fell in love with sailing 10 years ago during a visit to Australia. He has since ploughed the ocean’s furrows in Spain, UK, Greece, Croatia, Thailand and beyond. After finding a surprising lack of good sailing information online, and unsatisfactory booking processes, he decided to use his ten year’s experience of developing travel websites to found Get-Sailing.com. in 2012, to build a fantastic resource for anyone interested in taking a sailing holiday. Christian – Commercial Manager
After living in both Barcelona and the Canary Islands, Christian developed a strong love of life aboard the ocean waves, citing the bays of the Costa Brava as amongst his favourite places to go cruising. A successful web entrepreneur, Christian ran several tourism websites before joining the Get Sailing team. He looks after the customer experience and our relations with yacht charterers around the world. When he’s not at his desk or behind the helm, he enjoys going kitesurfing. Joao – IT Manager
Recently converted to the joys of sailing, Joao is our IT Manager and in charge of ensuring our website is running smoothly. (So if it’s not, please be sure to let him know – joao@get-sailing.com!!!). He’s also in charge of developing new technologies and functionalities, so let him know if there’s any new features you’d like to see on Get-sailing.com. When he’s not working Joao dances Brazilian forró and enjoys playing squash, poker and volleyball.
